For the 8th (and most chaotic) episode of The Local Culture Show we get rowdy in the studio with ‘wasabi spicy rock ‘n roll’ band Pass the Peas. We sat down with the group to discuss their latest EP ‘Pop’, made in memory of Kurt’s late father. We touch on the bands maturing sound, the guidance provided by producer Toby Lloyd, and whether or not Kurt’s occasionally homicidal lyricism should be of concern. Pass the Peas consists of: Kurt (vocals, guitar), Alice (lead guitar, backing vocals), Ben (keyboards, backing vocals), Jamie (bass) and Tiho (drums).
The Local Culture Show explores the art, ideas and environment of people involved in everything from poetry and activism to street art and music. This podcast was recorded and produced by the folks over at Wellington Access Radio. Hosted by Solomon Powell and Toby McWilliams. Supported by NZ on Air.
